I just got back from a week off. I went camping with my daughter’s 5th grade class for 3 days on Blake Island:
then with my other daughter’s 1st grade to camp for 1 day and night at the Middle Fork campground:
Believe it or not, I really had a good time. I like kids. They are a joy to be around, and I really like feeling useful. However, it was like early March, hovering around 45-50 degrees with wind and rain to boot. Seattle can really be a bummer at times. I guess that is about the only thing keeping it from having the population of LA.
On a different note-
Obama’s the nominee and the virulent racist attacks have already begun.
I heard some of Hillary’s concession speech and she sounded downright dignified.
Oh, and John McCain is an idiot. That is all.

If the sun doesn’t come out soon to dry out my yard enough to actually mow it, it is going to resemble some natural game preserve. Does anyone know where I might rent some goats for a day or two?

All I know is that Mickey Kaus blows goats. at least that is what I heard, and he has yet to issue a denial, so how can it not be true?
